- A one-time 3-hour suicide assessment training

Rules to know

- Live and online courses have no cap.
- Some activities are capped: up to 16 hours for teaching courses, 15 for certification courses, 10 each for published research and clinical instruction, 8 for reading, and 4 for media without stated objectives.
- A spinal manipulation endorsement needs at least 10 more hours.

This is a plain-language summary to help you plan. Rules change and your board has the final word, so confirm with the sources above before you renew. These are physical therapy rules: OTs renew through the state's occupational therapy board, and athletic trainers also keep their BOC certification.
