None. Any course that meets the rules below counts.
Rules to know
- Courses must be in health and social services related to occupational therapy and to your current or planned role.
- Courses sponsored or approved by NBCOT, the Delaware OT Association, AOTA or AOTA-approved providers are automatically approved. Other courses can be submitted for prior approval.
- Workplace training such as fire safety, OSHA, orientation and compliance doesn't count. Extra hours don't carry over.
- New licensees' hours are prorated; with 10 months or less left in the cycle, none are due.
- You attest to your hours at renewal. If you're picked for the random audit after July 31, you have 10 business days to send proof.
- One unit is 60 minutes of learning, not counting meals and breaks.
